This is the web page of the Birmingham Medical Research Expeditionary Society.
We are a group of medical scientists interested in investigating mechanisms of altitude illness and how the body adapts to high altitude. We usually undertake challenging research projects during adventurous expeditions to mountainous areas around the world.
